The way I did this was using Bootcamp to setup a Dual-Boot system with my main OS X operating system and the other window Windows 10, I then Installed it via steam on my Window OS and was able to launch it and play Story Mode & Online Mode (I was also able to play games like Watchdogs 2, Scrap Mechanic, etc.). Sadly Rockstar Games haven't released an official version for Grand Theft Auto 5 for Mac OS X with little explanation why and it looks like they probably never will release it.īUT!!!!!! This doesn't mean its impossible, I myself have legitimately played this game on my Macbook Air and it ran a bit better than I expected but not quite console quality (in between 20-30fps on Macbook Air 13" 256GB SDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Core i5 1.8GHz, Intel HD Graphics 5000 on low settings) and that was 2 Years ago.
